I’m a visual storyteller, using photography to explore place and movement. Here & There began as a way to follow my curiosity and document how travel unfolds along the way. I first picked up a camera at age six, and in 2005 began my studies at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) University, where the idea for a magazine rooted in art, fashion, and travel first took shape.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, I’ve lived in Halifax, Toronto, Montreal, Paris, and now Chattanooga, Tennessee. My work is informed by a curiosity for history, overlooked details, and the cultural narratives that give destinations their character.

For me, the journey is as important as the destination — much like behind-the-scenes footage that shapes the final story. Since COVID, I’ve embraced a slower pace of travel through road trips to destinations such as Maine, Prince Edward Island, Savannah, Wilmington, Pensacola, and most recently New Mexico. The long drives, playlists or podcasts, and the moments in between are as meaningful as the places themselves, setting the tone for each trip.

Now based in the United States, I am a licensed FAA Part 107 drone pilot, incorporating aerial perspectives into the series to expand how landscapes and cities are experienced. Through photography, writing, and visual essays, Here & There documents not only places, but the people and distinct moments that set them apart.

Editorial Director

I am a journalist and editorial director with a background in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and a master’s degree in journalism from the Sorbonne. I began writing as a teenager, first about cinema—a lifelong passion that shaped my relationship with storytelling and continues to inform my editorial sensibility today.

Born in Paris and raised in Aix-en-Provence, I have always moved between places with intent. After several years based in Paris, I chose, in the wake of Covid, to leave the capital in search of a more considered way of living. I spent several years in the South of France before settling in the French Alps, where I am now based. Each place has informed the way I think about time, work, and how stories are told.

Scotland holds a particularly special place in my heart. Studying and living in Edinburgh was the fulfilment of a long-held dream and remains a defining chapter in my personal and creative life. Its culture, history, and artistic energy continue to resonate deeply with me and influence my approach to place-based storytelling.

I joined Here & There in 2019 as an editor and now lead its editorial direction. Looking ahead, my vision for Here & There is to continue developing printed journals and long-form narratives that move beyond conventional travel media—privileging local voices, creative perspectives, and a slower, more intimate exploration of cities and regions around the world.
